June 1, 2011 - the application for the 2012 award year is made available to participating instituions on the Searle Scholars website

August 31, 2011 - interim progress reports due from current Scholars

September 30, 2011 - final progress reports due from Scholars in the last year of their award

September 30, 2011 - applications are due for the 2012 competition year

September 30, 2011 - March 6, 2012 - application review period

March 5 - March 6, 2012 - Searle Scholars Scientific Advisory Board Meeting

April 13, 2012 - all applicants for competition year 2012 are notified of their application status on or before this date

April 15 - April 17, 2012 - Annual Searle Scholars Meeting for current Scholars

July 1, 2012 - official award term begins for 2012 Scholars
